What’s Happening at Bailey Wood Products?
It’s been a busy summer! In July, we were closed a week for summer shut down. Everyone enjoyed some time with their families, while Jeff and Leslie went on their summer adventure to Idaho, Montana and Wyoming. Spending 5 days in the mountains of Montana on horseback was just what the doctor ordered. They rounded out their time out west with 2 day trips to Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks .
In the display room, we have removed the molding racks and replaced them with a lot more space for live edge slabs and other specialty lumber. The room is slowly taking shape and it will be in tip top shape for Woodworker’s Fair.
We sold product at the Woodsman’s Show at Cherry Springs State Park, Potter County, at the beginning of August. It was a great show for us! We tested out sales of some new designs in cutting boards and Christmas ornaments. They must be good as we sold out of most of our new product! Purple Heart was the wood that received the most attention as most people think it is dyed and not its natural color. We still have a good selection in the display room for your special project.
Our team has grown! August has seen the addition of 2 new employees. Say hello to Chad and Andy when you stop by! Of course, Jeff, Sherry, Leslie and Steve are still here to assist as well.
Speaking of the Woodworker’s Fair – this year’s event is rapidly approaching. The event is scheduled for October 23 from 10-4 right here at Bailey Wood Products, 441 Mountain Road, Kempton. Several new vendors and some regulars are on the list….including turners, luthiers, painted barn quilts and so much more! Of course, we will have our selection of cutting boards, holiday decor and signs. Demonstrations, a kids crafting area, food by our local Scout Troop and the Woodmobile are all scheduled. We will also have a drawing to benefit Friend, Inc. A great time will be had be all!!! See you at the Woodworker’s Fair!
