As a lover of trees and wood, why wouldn’t you want to visit the largest living tree on the planet? The General Sherman in Sequoia National Forest in California has the distinction of being the largest. It isn’t the oldest living tree, but at an estimated 2200 yrs old, it isn’t a Spring Chicken either. It does have the distinction of being the largest by volume with a base of 36’ across and stands 275 feet in height. Some of its branches are over 7’ in diameter. At 60 feet above the base, it is still 17.5 feet in diameter. For me, it was a very memorable day.
Company Trip!
The crew from Bailey Wood Products took a Company Striper Fishing Trip on the Chesapeake out of Rock Hall. We all filled our 2 person limit in record time. The biggest fish was 33” and 17 lbs! There will be some good eating for everyone from the filets we brought...
