Our last Vendor Profile before this year’s Fall Woodworker’s Fair is Neil Brown, the new owner of Woodcraft of Allentown. Woodcraft will have a booth at our Fall Woodworker’s Fair for the first time in several years.
Woodcraft of Allentown has been the premier source of woodworking tools and products in Allentown for many years. For 6 years, 3 years as Woodcraft’s manager, Neil Brown ran the register, stocked tools and supplies and did what was needed to keep Woodcraft running. A woodworker of 27 years, he became the store’s newest owner on March 17, 2017!
Originally a woodworker who made furniture, he started turning 11 years ago and currently teaches both woodworking and turning at Woodcraft. A fan of Norm Abrams of This Old House and The Yankee Workshop, Neil credits his love of all things wood with his decision to purchase Woodcraft. When asked about his vision for the future, he says that he would like to get the younger generation involved in woodworking.
Neil and one of his assistants will be demonstrating a tabletop CNC router for the small wood shop during each day of the Fair. Woodcraft and Bailey Wood Products both promote traditional and modern woodworking techniques with the use of CNC machines and lasers.
If you, or someone you know, would like to learn more about woodworking, please call email allentown@woodcraft.com or call (610) 351-2966 for a list of classes and times.
Bailey Wood Products congratulates Neil Brown on taking ownership of Woodcraft of Allentown and on the recent Grand Reopening of his store on September 23rd, on Lehigh Street in Allentown, PA. Bailey is looking forward to seeing him and his staff at the Fall Woodworker’s Fair this year.
